Job Description:
The Data Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing,
implementing, and managing our data platform. This role involves
working closely with our Data team to ensure the confidentiality,
integrity, and availability of our data systems. The ideal
candidate will have a deep understanding of backend data
engineering, strong knowledge in data governance and security, and
experience with Databricks. You will collaborate closely with data
scientists, data engineers and other business stakeholders to
ensure seamless data integration, management, security and
delivery. Additionally, you will provide mentorship and guidance to
junior members of the data engineering team or cross-functional
team members.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and continuous integration and
deployment of our data platform and its various services
- Create development tools and SDKs that enable data engineers
and scientists to integrate with our platform and its various
services
- Support data pipeline orchestration and CI/CD
- Lead end-to-end development of data tooling and frameworks,
using modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Rust, Airflow,
Databricks, and Spark
- Ensure tight-knit collaboration with leadership,
cross-functional stakeholders and engineers across the
organization
- Collaborate with leadership and senior engineers across the
team to define the technical vision and build on the technical
roadmap for our Data PlatformRequirements
- Experience using and administering distributed data systems
(Databricks, Spark, Hive, Presto, etc.)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (Helm, Terraform are a
plus)
- Experience with GraphQL, service mesh, and schema federation is
a major plus
- Experience working with data orchestration tools (Airflow,
Dagster, etc.)
- Cloud engineering experience is a must (Azure-specific is a
plus)
- Must be proficient in Python and at least one compiled language
(Rust, C++, Go, Zig)
- Full stack development experience is a plusEducation and
ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science,
Information Security, or a related field. A master or higher degree
is a plus.Minimum of 4 years of experience in platform engineering,
with a focus on data platforms and infrastructure.For roles based

complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation
depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set,
years of experience, and internal equity. $122,000 to $150,000
Full-Time Annual Salary.
