Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU Float Pool Job Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years required, large hospital experience required, first-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 3 years experience License: Valid permanent California nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH (Preferred: CCRN) Must-Have: Experience with vents, IV start, ICP, tele, conscious sedation; Epic charting highly preferred Job Description: - Work in the ICU Float Pool, providing care in various ICU units including neuro, respiratory failure, hemodynamic instability, myocardial infarction with complications, gastrointestinal bleeds, environmental injuries, and more. - Be prepared to float to overflow units including PACU and other medical/surgical, telemetry, progressive care, and stepdown units as needed. - Preferred candidates will have exposure to transplant patient populations such as liver, kidney, pancreas, and heart/lung. - Opportunities available for scheduling 36 or 48-hour work weeks. - Candidate must possess strong critical care skills and adaptability to float between high-acuity units. - Flu vaccine is mandatory without exemptions. - Module completion is required both pre-start and as part of orientation; some modules are self-reported.
